The influence of Wales Bonner on adidas’ inline releases is strong. Exhibit A: This upcoming “Cheetah Pack” of adidas Sambas scheduled to release in late January.

While not a collaboration, the pack hones in on the same chic aesthetic the British fashion designer popularized through her joint-efforts with the Three Stripes. If you were particularly fond of her “Pony Leo” Samba, which goes for upwards of $1,800 (!!) in small sizes on resale platforms, the two “Cheetah Pack” looks featured here stand out as comparable yet far more realistic options.

The first “Cheetah” Samba features an all-over faux fur upper and white hits on the stripes, backtab, and tongue, with the interior lining and laces both arriving in burnt orange. Its counterpart is somewhat more tame, opting for black leather on the t-toe and eyelets as opposed to continuing the faux cheetah print theme. The backtab, tongue, and laces are all presented in black to match, while dark forest green leather makes up the interior lining.

The adidas Samba “Cheetah Pack” is scheduled to release via adidas on January 29th, 2025, with each pair commanding a $130 retail price. These will likely move quickly, so keep our “Where To Buy” sections below handy for purchase links on that date.
