Nike Brings In An Unexpected Womens Sneaker For Valentine’s Day

The cast for Valentine's Day gets deeper.

Nike Brings In An Unexpected Womens Sneaker For Valentine’s Day

Nike, Inc.’s embrace of the women’s market is now well-established with released models like the Sabrina 2 and Jordan Heir or upcoming ones like the Air Max Muse or Air Max Craze. However, some of their past offerings in that effort fly further under the radar than those heavily-promoted models, including 2023’s Nike Phoenix Waffle.

Since its entrance a few years back, Beaverton has slowly let loose a wave of colorways that established the shoe as true lowkey GR, a history that makes its “Valentine’s Day” colorway all the more surprising.

Attention towards holiday gifts for February inherently places more emphasis on what brands offer up for Valentine’s Day, and especially next to icons like the Dunk, Vomero 5 or Jordan 3 “Valentine’s Day,” this silhouette stands a bit apart. Regardless of the strategic aspects, the shoe is perfectly capable of wearing the sentimental colorway associated with the season, weaving rosy highlights into an accessible neutral base.

While select other inclusions into the Nike Valentine’s Day 2025 slate have origins that are a bit blurry, there’s no mistaking the apple/heart Swoosh logo that appears here, a motif established by the Nike Cortez and Air Force 1 that fall under the banner.

Look for the Nike Phoenix Waffle hitting Nike.com shortly, especially given that the Cortez and Vomero 5 have already released via the site (select sizes of both are still up for grabs, by the way.) While we wait for more concrete info, check out official images included below.

Elsewhere in Beaverton, the Air Jordan 3 “Black Cat” is just around the corner, and we’ve got you covered with a full release breakdown.
