Nike Dusts Off A Gradient Air Max 180 In “Light Khaki”

Oasis imagery overtakes the retro silo.

Nike Dusts Off A Gradient Air Max 180 In “Light Khaki”

Certain sectors of the sneakerhead community rejoiced when Beaverton announced a retro of the Air Max 180, its first in five years and one specifically intended to replicate the “Big Bubble” hardware from its original run. Now entering year 2 of that bring-back, the Air Max 180 just appeared in one of its more striking colorways to date, a “Light Khaki” look looming for Spring ’25.

In a tale we’ve seen play out countless times in the Nike catalog, the Air Max 180 is only getting bolder as time draws on, and it gets further distant from the simplistic, throwback looks it first ticked off. Here, we catch the first appearance of a gradient design on the shoe, covering the mesh base layer in oceanic tones that barely give way to khaki at the quarter, mirroring the identically coated sock-liner and heel counter.

The combination of vibrant and grounded marks a distinct break from typical Air Max design language, calling to mind similarly off-kilter dos for the Air Max Sunder and the half-earthy, half-aquatic aesthetics of the Field Jaxx “Light Chocolate.”

Look for the Nike Air Max 180 “Light Khaki” on shelves this Spring, retailing at $150. Follow our Sneaker Release Dates page and our coverage at large for more concrete release info as it comes.
