Zion Williamson may not be seeing the court anytime soon, but recent updates have suggested a comeback is imminent. He’s been cleared for contact by team docs, so further down the pipeline is full participation in practice and eventually an official debut of his upcoming signature shoe, the Jordan Zion 4.

Here’s the scoop on the cushioning: the Zion 4 boasts a Cushlon 3.0 drop-in midsole and a full-length parabolic Air Zoom strobel. In comparison, the Zion 3 featured a drop-in midsole is comprised of Formula 23 foam with a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot only. The upgrade in tech is designed to handle Williamson’s forward-like load and guard-like springiness, but for consumers, its a better overall bang for buck.

Sticking once again to a low-cut design that is more often associated with guards and frontcourt players, the Zion 4 supplies a wider surface area on the sole than previous versions. Furthermore, the cupsole frame adds even more stability for a more grounded feel, on top of the newly added Zoom Air at the heel.

Where To Buy The Jordan Zion 4

Jordan Brand confirms a January 2025 release of the Zion 4 on Jordan.com and select retailers; the launch colorway is likely the “Grey Fog” edition as the shoes are already up on Nike.com product pages in select regions.
