Matt Varga Nike’s shift into the golf world has been wide-ranging and transformative, relying more on retooled classics than fresh silhouettes for its foray onto the green. The Air Max line is the Beaverton category that’s arguably had the biggest embrace of that, with a litany of looks first coming on the Air Max 1, before spreading to the Air Max 90 and most recently, the Air Max Plus.
Though we’ve gotten novel formulations specifically minted for the Air Max 90 Golf, the “Laser Pink” edition at hand revives one of its most timeless looks. The white/grey/pink/blue look remains true to 90’s arrangement, with the most significant contrast coming by way of the retooled hardware. On top of the requisite dose of integrated traction, the layered upper of the AM90 instead shifts to a simplified layout with thin, waterproof layers.
