Nike Issues A Classic “Mowabb” Adjacent Look On The ACG Exploraid

It may be a few months until we enter peak hiking season again, but Nike’s efforts to revitalize the ACG line aren’t dependent on climate. Executing a widespread bring-back effort with models like the ACG Izy, Rufus, or even the Aquaturf, fans of the once-neglected vertical have been eating good in the past few years, highlighted by unwavering energy around the Exploraid.

Set to kick off its second year as a retro model, the Exploraid suits up for the occasion by referencing one of ACG’s most timeless looks, the “Rattan Birch” outfit of the Nike ACG Mowabb. To be clear, it’s not a one-to-one replication; a pronounced infusion of deep “Anthracite” grey is the most considerable divergence, but relying on khaki suede throughout the upper and some pointed flashes of royal blue and “Safety Orange” in the shoe’s trim make this colorway’s origins anything but mysterious.

The Nike ACG Exploraid “Mowabb” has already begun cropping up via global Nike channels, so we likely won’t have to wait very long for it to appear stateside.
