SLAM Is Finally Dropping One Of Its 30th Anniversary Collaborations – The PUMA MB.04

SLAM Magazine’s epic 30th Anniversary celebration has taken shape in the form of incredible PE-like collaborations with Nike, Under Armour, Reebok, and much more. Sadly, many of these special designs were made for Friends & Family only…until now.

PUMA and SLAM will be releasing their unique installment of the anniversary series via the MB.04, the fourth signature shoe of superstar LaMelo Ball. Working closely with sneaker/hoops industry insider Nick DePaula, SLAM has concocted a special design of the MB.04 inspired by a past issue — number 237 to be exact. The red, blue, and silver package nods to that epic cover from 2022 which saw LaMelo debut his first signature shoe while rocking a custom jersey from his LaFrance clothing line. The metallic overlays, meanwhile, are a nod to the gaudy iced-out chain he wore around his neck.

The youngest of the three Ball brothers has experienced the most success in the pro ranks thus far, and that’s no surprise; while LaMelo’s highlight reel style of play has garnered the largest youth fanbase across the globe, his fine-tuned game has earned the respect of fellow hoopers and the game’s analysts. Averaging 30.0 points, 7.5 assists, and over 5 boards a game is no easy task, which is why LaMelo could be a starting backcourt player in the upcoming All-Star Game festivities later in February.

Again, this is the first SLAM 30th Anniversary collaborations to release to the public. This special MB.04 will be available on December 27th, 2024 exclusively on PUMA and SLAMgoods.com.
