The Nike KD 17 “Christmas” Emerges As Kevin Durant Eyes Return

An icy look for the holidays.

The Nike KD 17 “Christmas” Emerges As Kevin Durant Eyes Return

The 2024-25 Phoenix Suns’ season is best dissected in two parts. As of this writing, the Suns are 11-2 when Kevin Durant plays and 2-9 without him, meaning the squad’s championship aspirations essentially hinge on the health of the Easy Money Sniper. Fortunately, after suffering an ankle sprain in early December, KD is listed as “probable” for Friday night’s matchup against the Utah Jazz. As Durant and the Suns look to right the ship throughout the latter half of the month, we just got a look at KD’s annual “Christmas” colorway releasing on the 26th.

The KD 17 “Christmas” favors a palette of bright blues as opposed to familiar red/green, embracing a cold aesthetic with cracked “ice” around the lateral Swoosh. The Air Max Plus-inspired cage transitions from “Aquarius Blue” to “Glacier Blue” as you move from the top down, while a white midsole rests above semi-clear tread underfoot.

The KD 17 “Christmas” is slated to release December 26th, available via Nike and retailers for the usual $150 MSRP. Enjoy official images below and take advantage of the purchase links in our “Where To Buy” section on that date.
