Perfect for that C1TY grind.

Buy A $99 Coffee And Get The Nike C1TY For Free At Foot Locker’s NYC Activation

Coffee prices in New York have become so appallingly high that all you can do is laugh. On December 14th, Foot Locker is giving Manhattan locals some welcome relief by taking over Café Colmado on the Lower East Side and offering NYC’s most expensive cup of joe. Here’s the twist: passerbys who purchase a $99 coffee will also receive a pair of the new Nike C1TY for free.

The tongue-in-cheek activation occurs as Foot Locker prepares to unleash the Nike C1TY in a whole host of colorways, including many of the looks embedded below. To the uninitiated; the C1TY plays on past Nike hits like the Tom Sachs General Purpose Shoe with a semi-deconstructed upper and grippy turf-like tread underfoot, making it well equipped to tackle snow and sleet-covered New York sidewalks.

On top of the “free” shoe giveaway, Foot Locker is also bringing in the Sidetalk boys to capture videos of New Yorkers reacting to the $99 coffee price (and their relief upon learning it comes with a pair of $99 shoes). That’s to say if you’re looking for your big viral moment, Café Colmado is the place to be on December 14th. Swing by 286 Broome St between 10am-4pm on that date to cop NYC’s most expensive coffee and go home with a fresh pair of C1TY’s.
