The Nike SB Vertebrae Sprouts A “Malachite” Colorway For Spring

The Nike SB Vertebrae Sprouts A “Malachite” Colorway For Spring

While fervor around the Nike SB Dunk Low may be nearing a modern nadir, the overall SB roster is in a pretty good place. On top of signature shoes like the SB Ishod 2 and the SB Leo Baker, fresh inline formulations like the Nike SB PS8 and Vertebrae make up a wide-ranging roster for every skater’s preference. The lattermost shoe now appears with a blend of naturalistic tones, with its “Malachite” colorway shaping up for Spring 2025.

The palette on display here is relatively digestible, painting its suede upper with emerald tones while keeping a more conservative tan and black script in the trim. However, it seems worthwhile to frontline the model’s hardware bonafides, especially given its understated nature in the overall catalog. The ribcage design on the quarter panel is the most prominent aesthetic draw, but the same performance strengths seen throughout the SB archive are on display; reinforced structure on high-friction areas, low break-in time, and double stitching for increased durability are its premier selling points.

The Nike SB Vertebrae “Malachite” is expected to hit Nike channels as a part of the Spring 2025 slate, retailing for $85. In the meantime, enjoy the official images below — for any updates in the interim, stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page.

Sticking with Beaverton’s skateboarding efforts, the Wizard of Oz Dunks release on December 4th.
