Even before officially landing, the Air Jordan 5 “Reverse Metallic” enters a canon alongside a host of previous Jordan Releases. This sort of inverse “Reverse” look has been a reliable formula for the Jumpman for years. It was already visited in 2024 by the Jordan 6 “Oreo,” flipping a beloved look from the silhouette’s canon. Stretching further back, models like Jordan 12, Jordan 13, and yes, an additional Jordan 5 have done the same: who can forget the “Reverse Bel-Air” that revisited Will Smith’s iconic character for a more reigned-in edition?

Zooming out, the Jordan 5 persists as one of the more popular Jumpman silhouettes, the “Reverse Metallic” caps off a relatively scant year for the model. This marks just the sixth release of the year, paring down to only four if you discount women’s and kids’ exclusive pairs.
