Aesthetically, the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 “Iron” executes its theme with darkened reflective panels that deliver the titular shade, with flares of orange throughout evoking a red-hot forge. Narratively, it’s another reminder of Ant’s killer instinct, evoking a “pressure makes diamonds” motif that hits especially hard given the battles that Edwards and the Timberwolves engaged in during their run to the Western Conference championship. Speaking of, Ant himself teased the pair in an early November game against the Nuggets, rematch of the divisional round.
