Nike Uses Scaly Quilted Interiors For The GS Air Force 1 “Year Of The Snake”

Via shoes like the Kobe 5 “Year Of The Mamba” and Air Jordan 11 “Year Of The Snake,” Beaverton’s yearly offerings to align with the Chinese Zodiac calendar are beginning to come into clear view. Bruce Kilgore’s Air Force 1 is already shaping up to be a significant focal point of the celebration; two colorways have hit the ‘net in the closing weeks of 2024. Make it a trio, as images just landed of a Grade School version of the Air Force 1 “Year Of The Snake.”

We first caught wind of this new detailing with the women’s Air Force 1 “Year Of The Snake” and the unisex version, the former pinning the snaking pattern on a suede heel cup while the latter utilized it for debossed panels towards the collar. Though the palette may not read as revolutionary, the placement of that overriding motif on the army-jacket-like nylon interior keeps the shoe novel at first glance, with the more well-established touches like the serpentine text on the tongue and mini Swoosh ensuring commemorative appeal.

The Nike Air Force 1 “Year Of The Snake” releases in grade school sizing this Spring, likely around January or February. Retail pricing isn’t confirmed, but expect a premium on the youth model’s typical $90 MSRP.
