Original article published November 20th, 2024: The GEL-Kayano 14 is the crown jewel of the ASICS catalog, relishing in demand so extreme that even inline colorways have become difficult to cop at retail. Intentional or not, we’re getting a clear “Tiffany” feel from this latest pair.
The quarter, tongue, and midsole work in teal treatments similar to Tiffany Diamond’s hallmark shade, borrowing recognition from Nick Diamond’s unofficial Nike SB Dunk Low “Tiffany” from 2005. Black and metallic silver touch up the rest of the shoe, keeping the dazzling touchpoint in play while echoing late 2000s running aesthetics to a tee.
