Nike Tries Its Hand At Wu Wear With A “C.R.E.A.M.” T-Shirt

The sneaker world is positively abuzz (pun intended) regarding the impending release of Nike’s Wu Tang Dunk. Finally giving sneakerheads and Wu die-hards alike the chance to get their hands on the truly mythical release, Nike is also rolling out some notable peripherals to match with or perhaps substitute for the pair.

That vertical is highlighted by the “C.R.E.A.M.” Nike Wu Tang T-Shirt we’ve got on tap here. Up front, it reads like typical merch, with the everlasting “W” logo only slightly modified with a Swoosh taking the place of the hyphen. On the back is where things get more inventive. An acrostic of the debut LP’s C.R.E.A.M echoes Method Man’s everlasting chorus, with the Nike logo hanging over top and matching the white and yellow arrangement.

We may be past the heyday of matching sneakers with brand apparel, but seeing the W and the Swoosh take an official partnership to its fullest extent is red meat for a certain sector of hobbyists, one who earnestly contemplated absurd resale prices for the Dunk just to get in on a piece of sneaker history.

The Nike Wu-Tang “C.R.E.A.M.” T-Shirt is expected to drop alongside the Wu Tang Dunks proper, the latter retailing at $150. Catch official images of this piece embedded just below.
