The below article was originally published on November 5th, 2024.

If you’ve been any amount of tapped into SneakerNews (or even just sneaker news generally), you’re already well familiar with the packed slate of 2025 Jordan Releases ahead: the Undefeated Jordan 4, Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard,” the list goes on. Yet, as we barrel towards the new year, some more lowkey releases are also coming into view, marching on with detailed shots of the Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air Cinnabar.”

Taking this colorway and its “Game Royal” counterpart as a package is crucial to understanding how they tie into the already-revealed Jordan 4 “Rare Air” and Jordan 3 “Rare Air,” executing colorways centered around blue and red. Additionally, those AJ3 and AJ4 colorways each usher in novel takes on each silhouette’s typical branding. Here, the Air Jordan 1 mints a model first; the Wings logo appears on both the lateral and medial sides. The interior counterpart is clad in black and sporting “Nike Air” text instead of “Air Jordan.”

Single-stitched anchoring, two sets of terry cloth laces and raw suede on the Swoosh add some extra intrigue in the margins. Zooming out, the palette itself closes out the catalog-facing lean of this release, spinning off of “Neutral Grey” DNA with an injection of vintage off-white on the sole and classic “Varsity Red” accents.  Notably, Ev Bravado of Who Decides War was the first to truly confirm the “Rare Air” Jordan 1, customizing both this and a “Game Royal” colorway during the brand’s NYFW festivities and vouching for their status as 2025 releases.

While firm release details are liable to change this far out, currently, we’re expecting the Air Jordan 1 “Rare Air Cinnabar” to release in April 2025, retailing for $180.

Sliding in close to that pair in the calendar is the Air Jordan 3 “Lucky Shorts,” recently revealed via official images.
