“Dark Mushroom” Lights A Perfect Fall Pair Of The New Balance 9060

Mesh runners may not be at the top of your list when it comes to adapting your rotation to Fall, but New Balance is making it hard to turn down the proposition. A slew of autumn-ready looks have begun to populate store shelves in the past few weeks, and Champs is bringing us another edition of note with the New Balance 9060 “Dark Mushroom.”

This pair has a clear top/bottom split, beginning with a smattering of neutral shades underfoot that culminates with a chrome TPU lip at the heel. However, the upper is really where the seasonal aspects come into play. Tonal notes of brown and black coat the entirety of the silhouette’s off-kilter design, only interrupted by a stripe of burnt umber down the center.

While it’s unconfirmed whether this is entirely exclusive to Champs, it nonetheless speaks to New Balance’s willingness to get creative with the color-blocking on their staple shoes and potentially extend that license to their retail partners. The New Balance 9060 “Dark Mushroom” is available now via Champs in men’s sizing, retailing for $150.
