Fans of snakeskin sneakers are going to have it made in 2025. The year to come marks “The Year Of The Snake” on the Chinese Zodiac, meaning we can expect to see all the biggest shoe brands embrace the reptilian texture with more frequency, especially during Q1. While not necessarily part of Nike’s annual Lunar New Year lineup, the Air Force 1 is alluding the occasion with a neck-breaking “Purple Snakeskin” colorway.

Multi-toned snakeskin leather comprises the overlays, while the toe box and quarter are kept standard with smooth light purple leather. In striking balance between eccentric and conservative qualities, the lower half of the shoe cleans up with a khaki-colored midsole and brown outsole. The ultimate outcome is a gender-ambiguous aesthetic packed with streetwear appeal, inherently tied to a key 2025 sneaker industry touchpoint.
