RTFKT Randomly Gifted A Super-Limited Nike Dunk “Cat Tongues” To Its Followers

If you’re both tapped into the crypto space and count yourself among our regular readership, few names represent the crossover between both spaces better than RTFKT. The imprint’s relationship with Nike was made formal with an acquisition in 2021, culminating in the release of the “Void” Dunk Genesis earlier in 2024 for arguably their splashiest moment to date. Only a few months after that official release, they’re continuing the momentum behind the project by gifting two exclusive colorways to a select few pre-order participants.

RTFKT co-founder Steven Vasilev, also known as Zaptio, shared the news via Instagram, unveiling two corresponding teal and orange “Cat Tongue” colorways of the Nike Dunk Genesis. The exaggerated sole unit persists, as do many of the futuristic techy detailing added to Peter Moore’s iconic design.

The pairs’ chief selling point is the stippled patterning atop each pattern, delivering almost a globe-like profile on the teal edition. Vasilev even emphasized that aspect in his post, venturing towards ASMR as he showcased the pronounced texture. RTFKT includes a carbon fiber backpack sprayed with the brand’s various logos to close out the special delivery.

Check your inboxes to see if you were one of the lucky few with a pair of these RTFKT Dunks on the way. Only 100 pairs total were created, 50 in each colorway. Catch detailed images just ahead.
