Nike plans to highlight Kevin Durant’s 2013-14 MVP season through his most acclaimed signature shoe. Just a few weeks ago, we previewed an upcoming KD 4 featuring embellishments inspired by the MVP trophy and the Easy Money Sniper’s unforgettable award ceremony speech, where he coined the line “you the real MVP” in reference to his mother, Wanda. New images posted by @prm.cotd now reveal an alternative take on that same central theme, currently poised to land in 2025.

The overarching palette of blue and white with gold accents stays the same, although the top half is more reserved with a white forefoot and heel this time around. Shared features include a trophy-inspired tongue and embossed Swoosh and KD logos, along with a tactile diamond pattern over the forefoot. The insoles are also consistent, with “you the real MVP” text appearing on the left and an award-inspired graphic on the right. The gallery below also reveals text reading “Love” and “Faith” on the strap securing points, as well as a gold graphic of a rose alongside Wanda Durant’s name on the interior heel.

Importantly, Durant wore the Nike KD 6 during his MVP season and not the KD 4 as the upcoming joint release might suggest. In any case, these early looks come to us amidst the KD 4’s first ever retro run if you’re looking for reasoning as to the model of choice.

Release information for both KD 4 “MVP” colorways hasn’t been floated at this early stage, but all indications suggest an early 2025 arrival. Stick with us for updated images and drop details over the coming months and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming Kevin Durant shoes.

Speaking of which, check out the KD 4 Christmas releasing November 20th.
