The Nike Air Max 90 Tweaks Up A 2020 Colorway

Back after five years.

The Nike Air Max 90 Tweaks Up A 2020 Colorway

Nike Air Max 90 fans had it good in 2020. In celebration of the model’s landmark 30th anniversary, Nike debuted a new re-crafted cut, retro’d the OG “Infrared” colorway, and released whole rainbow of looks that played off that same blocking scheme. Now just a few months removed from the model’s 35th milestone marker, the Beaverton brand has begun surfacing a likeminded pack with near-invisible changes.

If it weren’t already clear, “Hyper Royal” is the latest plug-and-play colorway to emerge via official images. Just like an upcoming “Total Orange” pair and “Infrared” 90s by extension, the titular hue appears notably on the lower eyestay, midsole wedge, and heel patch. The rest of the design is complete with a black leather mudguard, white mesh base, and “Particle Grey/Light Smoke Grey” suede quarter and Swoosh. The only real departure from 2020’s pair lives on the tongue, where white netting replaces silky satin fabric.

Nike hasn’t set a solid release date yet, but the Air Max 90 “Hyper Royal” should arrive near the cusp of the model’s 35th anniversary in late 2024 or early 2025. Until then, enjoy official images below.
