Winter Is Coming: Nike Brings Back The ACG Torre Mid

With the autumn equinox in the rear view mirror and winter on the horizon, it’s almost time for us sneakerheads to start phasing new cold weather options into our rotations. That’s also to say; its peak Nike ACG season. The Torre Mid is currently the strongest winter proposition from Nike’s all-conditions banner, releasing in several colorways since Nike brought it back in late 2023. While some speak to 1990s hiking aesthetics through vibrant color clashes, others keep things fairly reserved with a focus on agreeable, contemporary shades. This new “Sanddrift” colorway suits the latter distinction, set to release in the near future.

Official images reveal a liberal dose of shaggy suede up top – which is typical for the model – but the fabric appears to be more piled than normal. Otherwise, the design isn’t too far off from the beige colorway that’s been cropping up all year long, differentiated notably by “Gorge Green” branding and laces as well as a “Hemp” sole. Naturally, the 1995-born hiking boot is well-equipped to tackle any weather, complete with a durable moisture-wicking canvas base, grippy tread, and sturdy ankle support.
