Lionel Messi Is Dropping Another adidas Samba On October 10th

Ever since Lionel Messi made waves by taking his talents to Inter Miami last year, adidas’ lineup of Messi-stamped terrace classics has grown exponentially. Fittingly, the adidas Samba has been the go-to silhouette of choice, relishing in both soccer heritage and a larger wave of mainstream popularity. Now revisiting that silo once more, the Three Stripes has another fresh Messi x Samba on tap for October, shown here via official images.

The design begins with a white leather base, suede T-toe, and gum soles; three features that are just about as essential as it gets. Continuing to execute standard blocking, the stripes and backtab come painted in purple while the tongue features a rectangular tag with Messi’s adidas logo in neon green, matching the insoles. Unlike other recent adidas Originals with Messi ties, including pink and blue/orange Sambas, the next Lionel Messi shoe doesn’t align with an Inter Miami kit. That’s not entirely abnormal (as evidence by a black and gold Messi Samba), but could suggest adidas and co. plan to bring a similar palette to a new shirt. More likely, however, is that the shoes are inspired by Argentina’s purple kits from 2022-23.

In any case, Messi’s next adidas Samba releases October 10th for $100 via adidas and retailers. See detailed images below and take advantage of the purchase links in our “Where To Buy” section for an easy checkout when the time comes.
