The Nike Air Max 180 Gets Fiery With “Hyper Crimson”

A notably simplistic colorway would fit perfectly on the October slate.

In contrast to some other Nike retro efforts, the Air Max 180 has taken its time in its reintroduction to shelves. Relying largely on OG or OG-adjacent looks for its first few releases back to shelves, Kilgore/Hatfield joint effort appears ready to usher in some new life. “Hyper Crimson” is on tap next, bringing the silhouette a brand new colorway fit for the upcoming season.

Contrasted to the vibrant “Concord” or “Ultramarine” editions that so synonymous with the 180, instead this keeps to a pretty conservative script. An all-black upper, encompassing the underlying synthetics and leather panels up top, are entirely dipped in jet black. The trim on the boundaries of this profile gives way to the titular “Hyper Crimson,” overtaking the fabric sockliner and the outsole, draping the forefoot traction and the full width air unit that made the Air Max 180 so revolutionary.

A drop around Halloween would certainly be synergistic given the color combo here, but for now, a concrete launch date hasn’t emerged. Instead, the Nike Air Max 180 “Hyper Crimson” expect this Fall/Winter generally, retailing at its typical $150 price tag.
