Matte Metallic Silver Upgrades The Nike Air Max Scorpion

Are these worth $250?

Matte Metallic Silver Upgrades The Nike Air Max Scorpion

Originally introduced in 2022, the Nike Air Max Scorpion has made only a handful of cameos in 2024. The direction of Air Max shoes has shifted drastically since the Flyknit x Vapormax fusion first hit shelves, now emphasizing retro-inspired models like the Air Max Dn as opposed to such ambitious tech-heavy compositions. Even still, despite minimal demand, every shoe has its audience and the Scorpion is no exception. If you’re a fan, you’ll be happy to hear that there’s a new women’s colorway coming soon.

Saddled with a palette that’s as versatile as can be, the upper comes in “Pure Platinum” while the top portion of the sole livens up in matte “Metallic Silver.” Other than that, a light blue Vapormax sole polishes off the delivery underfoot.

Notably, the arrival of the new Air Max Flyknit Venture suggested Nike would archive the Scorpion for the foreseeable future, with the Venture delivering a similar fusion of Flyknit and Air Max tech. As it turns out, both shoes have surfaced sporadically throughout the course of the year thus far.

The women’s Air Max Scorpion “Pure Platinum/Metallic Silver” is currently projected to release Fall/Winter 2024 for $250; the model’s standard MSRP. See official images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming Nike deliveries.
