adidas Touches Down With An All-Weather Samba

Mesh textile and nubuck overlays outfit the terrace classic.

adidas Touches Down With An All-Weather Samba

With the adidas Samba having embraced every color combination imaginable, it appears that new material compositions will help author the next chapter of the model’s strong and growing legacy.

In procuring a more diverse assortment of styles, the German sportswear giant has touched up the terrace classic with unconventional materials like nylon, tweed, mesh, and even luxurious croc skin leather in recent months. Continuing down that path, adidas just released a water-repellent pair with a ballistic mesh base and nubuck overlays. The rugged, durable base layer stands as the shoe’s primary appeal, with a monochrome grey and “Cloud White” palette lending a clean-cut, versatile aesthetic. All told, the delivery makes what’s generally thought of as a spring and summer shoe into a passable option for the colder months of the year, giving Samba devotees a way to bring the model well into autumn and winter.

As mentioned, these are available now via adidas in men’s sizing. Despite the shoe’s water-repelling qualities, retail is still set at the standard $100 MSRP. See detailed images below and tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to preview more upcoming deliveries by the Three Stripes Brand.
