New Balance was well prepared for the occassion, with a perfect gorpcore functional silhouette already in the chamber via the New Balance 1906U. With its cold-weather origins returning, we’re starting to get a stream of mainline looks for the “Utility” model, highlighted by a “Rich Oak/Mushroom” hitting shelves now.

Typically suited to chrome-heavy looks, the switch the neutrals & tonals here marks a rather notable divergence from the shoe’s home base. Deep “Rich Oak” umber, “Phantom” navy and cream “Mushroom’ collide atop the silhouette, serving up an assuredly fall-ready outfit.
