Momentum continues to build in the New Balance x Bricks & Wood relationship. After minting a 57/40 collaboration in 2021 before following it up with a 9060 in 2022, the LA imprint kicked off 2024 by sharing a teaser of another collaboration coming this Fall. Right on cue, we enter the last leg of Q3, Bricks & Wood circled back to that teaser by sharing first look images of their upcoming New Balance 1906U.

The gallery of first look shots shared by Bricks & Wood COO Dani Barraza contains a shot of the Madagascan Sunset Moth, clearly a guiding light as the shoe borrows its jet black foundation and striking multi-colored hits throughout. In similar naturalistic fashion, gradients are a major aspect of this pair with the leather overlays capturing black-to-tone ombres in yellow, aquamarine and neon green.

From the Boston brand’s standpoint, though the offshoot New Balance 1906U is the choice here, this highlights just how dominant the 1906 line has become. This high-heat collab adds to a stacked crowd of coveted takes on the model this year (Action Bronson, Salehe Bembury & Jack Harlow just a few of the big names to take on the silo.)
