If you had told Nike that breakdancing would be a one-and-done Olympic sport before they came out with the Nike Jam ahead of the Paris Games, the shoe might have never materialized in the first place. However, even though Nike’s first ever breaking shoe lies in a somewhat awkward spot, there’s still a sizable market for street-style dancing sneakers and plenty of untapped potential when it comes to lifestyle-minded consumers. This “Panda” colorway takes aim at both of those audiences, set to arrive during the Fall/Winter 2024 shopping season.

As the tried-and-true “Panda” nickname makes clear, the shoe lands almost entirely in black and white, discounting a slight off-white midsole tint. Leather overlays akin to the Air Max 96 II wrap the base, while an assortment of different mesh fabrics take shape underneath. The model’s defining feature is a clever one; an upside-down Swoosh on the lateral midsole that appears properly when flipped on its head, as is the shoe’s intended purpose.

Currently, the Nike Jam “Black/White” is expected to release during the Fall/Winter 2024 shopping seasons for $120. Like all colorways previewed and/or released thus far, only women’s sizes are anticipated.
