Nike’s Creepy Dunk Low For Halloween Features Scary Skulls

The October calendar gets even spookier.

Nike’s Creepy Dunk Low For Halloween Features Scary Skulls

With Halloween creeping ever closer, we’re continuing to track what Nike has in store for the holiday. The Nike Ja 2 “Halloween” and Air Jordan 1 Low “Black Cat” have each captured plenty of attention well ahead of All Hallows Eve, but a new contender entered the fray with the Nike Dunk Low “Halloween.” Fresh images have just landed of the October release, casting into stark relief the creepy celebratory touches on tap.

An embossed skull on the toe-box is is understandably the headline, stamping a synthetic skeleton right on top of traditional leather. However, these shots showcase how the 3D detailing continues; pronounced beveled Swooshes jut out from either quarter panel. The shoe is truly composed of a mix of hairy suede and cracked leather, splitting between jet black and “Bright Cactus” that brings a witchy atmosphere to the whole affair. Earthy notes of “Green Curry” close out on the sockliner and outsole, bringing final notes of seasonal tonality.

While “Mummy,” “Neckface” and “Night of Mischief” SB Dunks showcase Beaverton’s steady love for the holiday, mainline Dunk Low releases (without the plush tongue) have been a yearly tradition for the past few years. Previous editions have provided a simplistic foil to more animated fare on the October slate, but it appears for 2024, that equation is flipped on its head. Though we don’t have a concrete release date just yet, look out for the “Halloween” Dunk Low as we approach the end of October, retailing at $130. You can catch in-hand images included just below.
