The Nike Dunk Low Achieves A “Black Toe” Style Color-Blocking

An asymmetrical layout helps this pair stand out from the crowd.

The Nike Dunk Low Achieves A “Black Toe” Style Color-Blocking

Even if their parent companies act as separate entities, there’s always been some bleed over between the Nike Dunk and Air Jordan on either side; the J-Pack Dunks or “What The” executions on models like the Jordan 4 or Jordan 5 showcasing the blurred lines between. Peter Moore’s design is again dipping into the Jordan Brand archive for this “Bicoastal” pair.

Of course, “Black Toe” is the inspiration here, imparting jet black tonality on the leather overlays towards the forefoot. That choice bleeds downwards for a stark contrast sole, resolved in earthier fashion with an ever-reliable gum sole below. Jumping back up, the rest of the shoe stays in pretty conservative territory, colliding teal “Bicoastal” with two grey neutral shades on the leather & suede foundation.

The nocturnal lower front half juxtaposed against the more tonal treatment towards the back almost makes it seem as if two different shoes are mashed together. This Nike Dunk Low is an easy way to bring a real head-turner into your wardrobe, especially given how GRs of the former basketball model are rolled out in relaxed, easily-styled fashion.

The Nike Dunk Low “Black Toe/Bicoastal” should hit shelves in the coming weeks, bearing a $115 retail price once it does. Official images are embedded below for you to get a better sense before this pair materializes.
