Original article published August 23rd, 2024: Guarding Devin Booker on a nightly basis is a frightening nightmare. And after his incredible showing throughout the Paris Olympics, the 2024-2025 season might be his best one yet for D-Book. As his first signature shoe continues its cycle into the new season, Nike will be offering the Book 1 in its first-ever Halloween theme, pictured here for the first time.

The Nike Book 1 “Halloween” adheres to model’s simpler colorways. Opting for an all black upper with accents of orange and white, Devin’s first spooky shoes feature some nuanced details that tie into the end-of-October festivities. The Swoosh logo is made out via a haphazard arrangement of white stitch lines mimicking human bones, while orange touches appears on the tongue label for that pop of pumpkin. The heel features “Chapter One” and “96” in a typeface that fits the occasion, while the “pages” inside the heel-tab switch up with black.

Currently, a release date is scheduled for October 30th, 2024 for $140, dropping alongside a slew of other Halloween-themed Nike Basketball signature shoes.
