Nike Giannis Freak 6 “Naija” Releases On September 1st

Giannis' latest reprises a sentimental colorway.

Nike Giannis Freak 6 “Naija” Releases On September 1st

The Greek Freak’s newest signature, the Giannis Freak 6, is squarely in the spotlight. Officially hitting the market on August 16th, we can look forward to a hefty dose of colorways to showcase the new silo in every possible arrangement, with a wide base of inspiration. Following the “Roses” edition dedicated to his father and the “Olympics Origins” that nods to his international career, Antetokounmpo embraces his heritage for the latest look, the Nike Giannis Freak 6 “Naija.”

Long-time fans of Giannis’ line may recognize the neon green & black arrangement on offer here- it reprises the same colorway last seen on the Zoom Freak 2. Borrowing its foremost colors from the kits of the Nigerian national football team, the radioactive shade makes a stark impression on the myriad of branding notes throughout the shoe, including the oversized Swoosh and Antetokounmpo’s own logos at the heel and tongue.

The upper, constructed of engineered mesh and synthetic leather, is instead left in nocturnal fashion. While the aesthetics are certainly a selling point, this is performance wear at the end of the day, and Beaverton infused a ton of tech into this model.  The Giannis Freak 6 boasts Air Zoom at the forefoot for energy return & comfort, and an “upgraded traction system,” sporting herringbone patterns all throughout the outsole.

The Nike Giannis Freak 6 “Naija” drops September 1st via Nike.com and select retailers, in adult ($140) & GS sizing ($80.) Keep our “Where To Buy” section within reach for direct pick up links upon arrival, and scroll further for official images.
