Back in February, footwear visionary Salehe Bembury launched the Art Friends Thumbs Up Good Job project under the Pollex Pod umbrella, broadening the collaborative reach of the Crocs brand. Utilizing the Pollex Clog as the canvas, Salehe aims to further empower the world’s foremost contemporary artists, this time lending a brush to none other than Jonas Wood.

Hailing from Boston, Jonas is primarily recognized for his still-life paintings of home interiors, scenes in sports (such as his Manute Bol painting), and landscapes, specializing in creating flatted images of those three-dimensional visions. For his take on the Pollex Clog, he applies dense patterns from plants and vases onto a multi-indigo color scheme; these patterns are recurring themes throughout Wood’s work. Wood’s signature, along with 2024. ar featured on the “sport mode” straps of the Clog.

The first issue of the Art Friends series was a collaboration with Futura, a pair that is currently commanding more than double the MSRP in the grey market. Like Futura’s pair, the Jonas Wood x Crocs Pollex Clog is limited to a mere 1,000 units; they’ll be available beginning on August 22nd at 12PM ET for $95 on beaspunge.com.
