“Pink Foam” Paints The Nike Zoom Spiridon Cage 2

After a full year back on the shelves in 2020, the Nike Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 is poised for another full-speed-ahead retro effort. Restocked in a metallic silver and a sleek all-black outfit earlier this year, a brand new cutesy formulation is on tap to land this October, bearing a sprightly mix of “Pink Foam,” “Fierce Pink” and “Pale Pink.”

Each of those rosy hues gets its own moment in the spotlight, with the adjacent colors cropping up on the heel & quarter Swooshes, the midsole, and most impactfully, peeking through the wide mesh that stretches in between strips of chrome leather on the upper. Despite that relatively heavy dose of pink, reflective metallic is still the dominant note, perhaps portending what Beaverton has planned for the silhouette in this latest run. With the last retro minted as tech runner trends were truly beginning to take hold, the Spiridon Cage 2 could provide another model that taps heavily into those sensibilities, joining current spotlight shoes like the Nike Zoom Vomero 5, P-6000 or Pegasus 2k5.

The Nike Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 releases on October 5th, retailing for $170 and arriving in women’s sizing. While you wait for the drop, get a better sense for this pair via the official images embedded just ahead.
