BAPE x adidas Dame 9 Revealed In Second Colorway

Updated August 8th, 2024: Official images have just landed of the adidas Bape Dame 9 “Olympic.” First shared by mita creative director Shigeyuki Kunii, this pair will reportedly remain a F&F exclusive, while the previously unveiled “Red/Black” colorway and a yet-unseen “Green/Gold” edition will in fact release to the public.

An August 31st date has been attached for those two pairs, so while we don’t have any additional updates at this time, further info is almost certainly around the corner as the release nears closer & closer. For now, check the gallery ahead for those official looks.

Original article posted August 2nd, 2024: Emerging at the end of June, the adidas x BAPE Dame 9 collab is now trending closer to a collection. mita’s creative director Shigeyuki Kunii took to Instagram to show off in-hand images of an additional colorway, flipping the all-over print for a brand new look.

Contrary to the two-tone red & black stylings of that first pair, here a dose of desert camo gets pasted on the Dame 9, overtaking the glove-like exterior with red piping outlining it. The branding gets a refresh as well, with the gorilla logo at the heel counter, adidas logo on the forefoot and the slit Three Stripes branding all spotlighting emblazoned gold accents.

The original colorway showcased at All-Star Weekend & a purple edition revealed at the Bucks’ playoff opener have been the few looks officially revealed. However, these collab pairs are the only pairs we’ve actually seen in-hand imagery of, a fact that adds to a growing sense this capsule will introduce the model to the public. The aforementioned Dame 4 link-up arrived in three different colorways, so should German creatives aim at replicating that moment  exactly, there’s potential for more additions as we near an official launch.

The BAPE x adidas Dame 9 is tabbed for a FW24 release though retail pricing isn’t yet confirmed. Get a closer look at this pair via the photo embedded below.
