CNCPTS x New Balance 1906U “Hours And Days” Emphasizes Self-Care

CNCPTS x New Balance 1906U “Hours And Days” Emphasizes Self-Care

When CNCPTS creative director Deon Point first teased their next collaboration with New Balance, an instant connection was made with their 2012 “SEAL” design on the 999 model. Although their 2024 project around the New Balance 1906U stays consistent in color palette and the elevation map detailing on the insole, CNCPTS has reinterpreted the original vision that birthed such an iconic colorway.

The execution of the triple-9 model was indeed inspired by Navy SEALs, made evident by the military-themed aesthetic and aquatic-themed touch-points. For the 1906U, CNCPTS has expanded on that story, honing in on the self-care movement exhibited by all generations today. That idea is portrayed with their official lookbook for the collaboration that features two individuals that, despite their gap in age, share the same ideas in terms of personal well-being and being connected to the outdoors.

The elder gentleman is Robert “The Raven” Kraft, a Miami resident that has pumped out an 8-mile run on the daily on Miami Beach since 1975. the younger fella is Tashawn Richards from New York, an athlete who has been running since the age of 11 that now leads group runs on his home turf. This juxtaposition of differing eras is seen via the alternating color-blocking of the N logo and the reflective eyelets.

CNCPTS has confirmed a of August 2nd, 2024 exclusively at CNCPTS in-store and online at 11 AM ET.
