Original article published July 24th, 2024: As time goes on, the Air Max Dn is treading further and further from the two-tone looks it arrived with. On top of simply adding colors, some serious patterns have hit the “Dynamic Air” silhouette, from Air Max Plus-esque gradients, Olympics “Ostrich” print, or the stippled tech look of the Size? Air Max Dn. Keeping with that concept, the latest Air Max Dn reigns in the colorway while bringing some brand new life in the margins.

Looking top down, you’ll catch the main intrigue with this release, a dotted grid taking to the tongue. On top of that swap, the geometric lean is mirrored by dashed line-work on the laces. It complements the synthetic haptic print that runs over the upper, also clad in steely silver atop a subtle burgundy base below.

Outside of reflective chrome on the mini Swoosh and air bubbles, the rest of the shoe is clad in jet black, from the graphic foxing to the outsole to the carbon fiber plate underneath the rear Dn branding. While this a more tasteful colorway that’ll play to long-time Air Max fans, the creativity that Beaverton has shown with this silhouette is a breath of fresh air as its run stretches on.

This “Grid Tongue” Nike Air Max Dn drops Fall/Winter ’24, retailing for $160. Check out detailed retail images just ahead while we await this pair’s arrival.
