NB continues to make moves.

New Balance Strikes Partnership With The WNBA

New Balance is striking while the iron is hot. The Boston-based sportswear bond has just announced a multiyear partnership with the WNBA; the new deal will take place mid-season after the WNBA All-Star Game.

This new partnership is “aimed at elevating women’s sports and inspiring the next generation of fans and athletes alike” according to an official press release by New Balance.

NB already has one of the brightest young stars of the league signed to their Basketball brand. Cameron Brink, who was the second-overall pick behind Caitlin Clark in the 2024 WNBA Draft. She first signed an NIL deal last year and became a larger part of their marketing efforts after she officially joine the LA Sparks. Unfortunately, Brink suffered a season-ending injury earlier this season.

However, Brink is positioned to be one of the faces of New Balance’s efforts with the WNBA; as part of this new partnership, New Balance will create authentic broadcast, digital and retail content with Brink as one of the faces of its campaigns.

“This relationship with the WNBA is another example of New Balance encouraging all young athletes, particularly women and girls, to pursue their athletic goals and ignite a new era of female empowerment through sport,” says Jess Vassall, New Balance Head of Global Partnerships.

New Balance isn’t the only brand that’s backing the WNBA. In 2022, Nike furthered its 25-year commitment to the WNBA by becoming an equity investor in the league.
