Same time, new date. Union LA has postponed their Nike Field General and Union U capsule launch to June 28th, 2024 at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST due to technical difficulties. The entire capsule will be available online only at Union HERE.
According to official statements by Union, all orders have been cancelled, but those who secured orders will be given an opportunity to make another purchase.
“We have taken account of the item(s) from your canceled order and a new invoice will be sent to your email address on file to complete the purchase to ensure proper payment processing. You will have one week after receipt of the invoice to complete your purchase before it expires. A new order confirmation with a new order number will be provided for your records. You will also receive a shipping confirmation once a label has been created. “
In an exclusive interview with Sneaker News, Chris Gibbs stated that the Field General was his favorite Nike project to date, largely because the Union team was given much more opportunity to modify the shoes. While the the shoe is named the Field General, the design encompasses a five-year period of the football cleat, with other cues drawn in from other models like the Shark. Above all, Nike allowed Union to completely rework the sole — a rarity in collabs due to cost.
Both the “Guava Ice” and “Ivory” colorways will be available on June 28th, 2024 at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST; the Guava Ice is exclusive to Union, whereas the Ivory will be available at select retailers at a later date. Release information regarding the black pair has not yet been divulged, but we’ll update soon.
