The Nike SB Vertebrae Cooks Up An Eccentric Blend Of Nature Notes

While certainly the SB Dunk is always a consistent generator of headlines, quiet as kept, the Nike SB roster is as deep as it’s ever been. That’s due to signature formulations like the Ishod 2 and SB Leo, but also select in-house silhouettes. The Nike SB Vertebrae is chief among them, and it’s getting funky for its latest look, clad in a blend of “Dark Russet” & “Desert Orange.”

Though at first glance, the combination of adjacent natural tones presents this as a rather conservative pair, the earth hues on display are plenty vibrant in their own right. Yellow-green “Pear” tonality adorning the Swoosh and “Deep Jungle” on the tongue stand out the most among the cord. Additionally, the wide-ranging color palette here helps emphasize some of the unorthodox design language, from the tear drop perforations on the toe box to the ribcage-like quarter panel.

The Nike SB Vertebrae “Dark Russet” is available now via Nike.com, landing in men’s sizing for an accessible $85 price tag. Hit the links under “Where To Buy” to land directly on the product page.
