Vans Skate Drops New AVE 2.0 Colorways For Summer With New Breathable Mesh Uppers

Vans Skate Drops New AVE 2.0 Colorways For Summer With New Breathable Mesh Uppers

Anthony Van Engelen’s second signature shoe with Vans Skate — the performance-packed AVE 2.0 — launched back in March, debuting a form-fitting knit upper in tandem with the RapidWeld suede, a SickStick rubber outsole, and the brand’s proprietary UltraCush platform. It makes a resounding return this Summer in new colorways, but there’s a major change to the model for the new season.

Van Engelen and Vans have swapped out the aforementioned elastic knit in favor of a breathable mesh, promising ample cooling during the hotter sessions in the summer months. Debuting alongside the modified model are three new colorways of Medium Grey, Lavender Fog, and a limited edition AVE Bench Green; the former two are available now on Vans.com/Skate (shop the Grey and Lavender Fog), whereas the green pair is available at select skateshops only.

To launch the next wave of AVE 2.0 colorways, Anthony has tapped fellow Vans Skateboarding team riders Willow Voges Fernandez, Tyson Peterson, Nelly Morville, and Diego Todd as part of the “Always Pushing” campaign; below you can see all four do their thing in the latest AVE 2.0 styles.

We also present an exclusive unboxing video of the Vans AVE 2.0 in the Medium Grey and Lavender Fog just below.
