adidas Basketball Unveils Upcoming D.O.N. Issue #6 Colorways Ahead Of July 5th Release

Donovan Mitchell’s sixth signature sneaker, the adidas DON Issue 6, is finally set to debut on July 5th, 2024 in four colorways. First spotted in January and officially previewed at All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, the shoe is part of a wave of new signature adidas product alongside the adidas AE1, Harden Vol 8, and upcoming Dame 9.

The D.O.N. Issue #6 marks the first low-top in Mitchell’s signature line, a change that’s met with sleek yet sophisticated design language. The shoe revolves around a mesh-built cage that reveals Three Stripes branding, topped off by wavy TPU treatments around the tongue and laces. As far as performance benefits go, the Issue #6 comes with Lightstrike Pro cushioning underfoot, making it the lightest of Don’s signature shoes thus far.

The rollout selection consists of both vibrant color ensembles and conservative looks, casting a wide net when it comes to appeasing consumer preferences. The violet/black colorway that was previewed at All-Star Weekend checks in for the occasion, as does the multi-colored pair Mitchell broke out for the playoffs this past season. In speaking with Mitchell about the adidas DON Issue 6, we learned that he calls this the “Camp” colorway; Don will give out pairs to recruits who attend his new Spida Elite Camp this summer. Additional options include a clean all-black pair with delicate red and blue accents, an apparent “Spida-Man” colorway, and a flashy green, yellow, and orange mix. All four pairs will release on July 5th, 2024 for $120 a pop, available via adidas.com and select retailers. Stay tuned while we keep current with all upcoming D.O.N. Issue #6 colorways as the model cements its place in the Three Stripes catalog.
