The Nike Air Max Plus Is On Fire In “Gym Red”

Hitting shelves this Fall.

The Nike Air Max Plus Is On Fire In “Gym Red”

Though the 35th birthday of the Air Jordan 4 has understandably taken precedence, the Nike Air Max Plus is currently amid its own anniversary; Beaverton ushering in a slew of new looks as it enjoys its 25th year on the market. Retoolings like the Air Max Plus Drift are certainly one half for the occasion, but it’s hard to argue with a fresh, classic colorway. That’s exactly what the Swoosh is tapping into with the upcoming Nike Air Max Plus “Gym Red.”

The iconic gradient that defines editions like the “Sunset” persists here as the central feature, bringing a soft blush from fire red to pure white across the mesh upper. It’s a choice mirrored underfoot, that same ombre peeking out between the sectioned midsole. Platinum accents continue to dominate the shoe as you work through the tongue, sockliner and midsole. Finally, at the extremes jet black backstops the design, painting the outsole, heel cup and patent leather mudguard, bringing a formal aspect to the lifestyle shoe.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Gym Red” is expected to land this Fall carrying a $180 MSRP. Enjoy official images via the gallery below to get prepped for the launch.
