“Vintage White” & Navy Dress The Resurgent Converse Weapon High

The success of vintage basketball models like the New Balance 550 isn’t just an influence on buying habits, it’s swayed footwear brands to pursue the same idea. The Converse Weapon High is an OG of OGs- one of the first models to reach true ubiquity through the brand’s partnership with superstar Magic Johnson. Converse announced their plans to retro the model last Fall, and we’re seeing the results with pairs like the Converse Weapon High “Vintage White/Navy.”

Evoking the aesthetics of the era when it was born, the Converse Weapon continues a run of a tone-on-white colorways. It’s been the chief lane for the shoe as of late, adding a navy option to a roster that boasts salmon, burgundy, olive and grey colorways already. The all-leather arrangement only breaks up on the midsole. Though it’s applied conservatively on this shoe, the faux-aged detailing there leans further into the throwback look while it’s at it.

The Converse Weapon High “Vintage White” is available now for $120 via Converse.com.

Elsewhere in the Nike family, the Jordan Release Dates 2024 heats up with the Air Jordan 1 “Latte” and Air Jordan 17 “Lightning” dropping just days apart.
