Arguably no offering spotlights that as well as the Converse DBL DRKSHDW, reorienting materially for its latest “Washed Tan” colorway.
Compositionally, the “DBL” subtitle provides the centerpiece of this model, the literally “doubled” sole unit that turns the once-basketball shoe into a true platform sneaker. Other pieces that showcase crop out throughout the profile, from the exaggerated tongue and its raw hem edge to the newly layered toe-box. While the structure of the silhouette remains eye-catching here, the real novel aspect is the colorway, taking to tan tonality on the canvas upper. Selected spots vary in brightness and texture to imbue a washed-out atmosphere, adding grounded appeal to a model that’s anything but.
