“Semi Burst Blue” Takes Over The adidas Samba LT

A stretched tongue allows trainer history to shine.

“Semi Burst Blue” Takes Over The adidas Samba LT

The indomitable run of the adidas Samba is emblematic of the lifestyle shift taking over the footwear industry. With the essentially printing money for the Three Stripes, it’s opened up a path to success for modernized takes on its legacy. Cue the adidas Samba LT, getting a strong push this year and showcasing the Samba’s football history through a few retooled touches.

The most obvious new addition is the elongated tongue, a performance detail constant through the adidas backlog, all the way through to modern boots like the Predator. Though not a change specific to the Samba LT, the quarters on this shoe swap to wide mesh, a stark contrast to the traditional T-toe nubuck at the forefoot. “Semi Burst Blue” is constant on this profile, lending a vibrant, seasonal atmosphere as we near the true kickoff of summer. Closing out the design, the Three Stripes branding is outlined in gum hits that mirror the shade of the outsole.

The adidas Samba LT “Semi Burst Blue” releases through adidas.com on June 1st, retailing for $120.

Sticking with the Three Stripes, the adidas Spezial Spring 2024 collection brought back a host of coveted styles, including the cult classic adidas Ardwick.
