Where To Buy The Air Jordan 17 Low “Lightning”

The Air Jordan 17 “Lightning” is an original colorway from 2003. It officially returns on May 30th, 2024 with a hefty $300 MSRP. As compensation, Jordan Brand will be packaging the shoes in a hardshell briefcase; these were included in the packaging for the Air Jordan 17 in 2002, but not the Low version.

Just below is the store list for the Air Jordan 17 “Lightning”. Despite the high price tag, the demand for the shoes are quite high and with a release not happening on SNKRS, it’s important to enter as many possible raffles you can (see them all below).

A Brief History

Perhaps one of the biggest surprise Jordan Retro releases of 2024 is undoubtedly the return of the Air Jordan 17 Low “Lightning”, a sneaker famously worn by Michael Jordan during the 2003 NBA All-Star Game. With no other Air Jordan 17 Lows confirmed in our Jordan Release Dates 2024 calendar, these are truly a surprise given how the Jumpman tends to drop new models in batches for cost purposes, but not only or these a solo act, they’ll be rather limited in number as they’re dropping exclusively at Jordan NBHD accounts. Sorry, folk: you’ll have to try for these outside of SNKRS.

Already attracting eyeballs of Jordan fanatics for its striking design and ties to history, the Air Jordan 17 Low has also garnered some attention due to its weighty $300 price-tag. This goes back to our point of how Jordan Brand balances cost with volume. Sweetening the deal (or perhaps justifying it) is the hardshell briefcase, an accessory that came part of the original release of the Air Jordan 17 back in 2002 (it was not included with the original 2003 release of the Lightnings).

Again, Jordan Brand has confirmed that the shoes will not be available on SNKRS; instead, you’ll have check our Where To Buy guide below to know exactly where you can make your $300 purchase. These are very likely a raffle release (EQL, Draws, etc), so copping a pair won’t be easy either. Regardless, check out the official images below.

In other OG Jumpman flavors, here’s the latest on the restocks of the Jordan 4 “Military Blue”; they’re being brought back periodically, so keep that page bookmarked.
