Lapstone & Hammer Continue ASICS Dip-Dye Journey With Coffee, Matcha, And Ube

Earlier this year, Philadelphia’s Lapstone & Hammer presented a dip-dyed collection of ASICS footwear in which individually treated GEL-NYC and GEL-1130 pairs soaked in an attractive indigo shade for a true 1-of-1 finish. Continuing their journey of hand-dyed program, Lapstone is focusing on the morning routines that typically involved three types of beverages — coffee, matcha, and ube — and applying it onto the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14.

The distinct tones of brown, green, and purple are infused nicely into the upper construction of the popular ASICS runner, with the varying materials resulting in differing degrees of the dye. The colors are far more saturated on the suede overlays, while the mesh and leather base grab hold onto the four shades to a much lighter degree.

Four colorways in total will be available on lapstoneandhammer.com on May 18th at 12 PM ET for $200 each; the three new colors will join the original indigo, giving you four options in both mens and womens sizing. And since each pair has been individually dyed by hand, every single pair is a true 1-of-1 as the results are truly unique from one process to the next.
