adidas MAD IIINFINITY “Grey/Cream” Is Available Now

The adidas MAD IIINFINITY, first teased shortly before All-Star Weekend, is a model that just months into its life cycle, already carries a storied history. It’s a refraction of a refraction, an update on the adidas CRAZY IIINFINITY which itself tinkers with the Kobe shoes he rocked during his short Three Stripes stint. With the silhouette’s true debut coming back in February, its “rookie season” continues with a neutral “Grey/Cream” arrangement.

Given the heavy application of leather and nocturnal shades on that first pair, this already charts some new territory for the MAD IIINFINITY. The configuration here splits the shoe in two, with tonal grey treatments painting suede mesh and textile up top. Underfoot, cream paints the suede foxing and EVA midsole, brightening up this shoe’s profile dramatically. The exaggerated geometric hardware that makes up the midsole calls to mind the Three Stripe’s futuristic work with Y-3, yet this neutral-shaded colorway makes this edition of the shoe an easy match for everyday outfits.

The adidas MAD IIINFINITY “Grey/Cream” is available now via adidas.com, commanding a $180 retail price. Check out official images below to get a real sense for this shoe before picking up a pair.
